ABOUT ME

Hi ! Let me tell you a little bit about myself.

I was born in Belgium to Italian parents. I lived in Brussels for the first 18 years of my life in a very multicultural environment because I attended the European School , were children from all over Europe meet and learn new languages and new cultures.  From a very young age I fluently spoke three languages (French, Italian and English) which I used in my everyday life and in my studies.

After my school diploma I decided to study biology and I applied to several British Universities. I got accepted into Southampton University where I graduated and then moved to Sheffield where I carried on studying.  I got a PhD in Molecular biology and then worked as a post-doc for a few years.  

After about 15 years, even though I enjoyed science and my job, I needed a change and a new challenge! So I quit my job, and went travelling. After a few months I moved to Spain (I had been learning the language for a few years by then!!) and enrolled on a TEFL course to become a teacher of English as a foreign language. 

I immediately found a job in Modena, Italy, where I have been living for the last 15 years with my family.  Started teaching straight away and thoroughly enjoyed it!

I am very excited about this new project with my colleague and most of all friend Linda with whom I have always shared a vision on teaching, living and enjoying life.
